July Gardening Tips

Watering

One of the most important tasks for your garden in July is to keep it watered. The amount of water your garden will require is dependent on the weather. Less rain, more water. Lots of rain, less watering.

Pruning

Prune any Summer flowering shrubs that have finished flowering

Weeding

Weeding will keep you busy through the month. The easiest way to keep control of weeds in your garden beds, is to first pull out as much of the weed as possible from the ground, then turn the soil on your garden beds with a hoe. If you turn the soil on your garden beds every 7-14 days, you should be able to maintain a weed free garden.

Enjoy!

Take some time to sit back and enjoy your garden. You’ve worked hard to keep it looking so good and now’s the time of the year to enjoy the fruits of your labour.
